Louise manages to deal with difficult and disturbing subject matter in a sensitive and meaningful way to produce artworks that are as beautiful as they are thought provoking. .

I have known Louise throughout her study at Moray School of Art where she obtained her BA Fine Art Textiles. She is an exceptionally talented and hard working artist. Her work has always come from a deep personal place which has enabled her to produce some outstanding pieces. The variety in her work shows the breadth of her abilities. Always looking for new challenges, Louise gives full commitment to any project she undertakes and produces the highest quality of work. I would recommend this artist without question. (Tutor)

I was fortunate to view the dementia piece and other works at the Inverness Creative Academy Open Day. I very much enjoyed the visual aspect alone of the work. The technique, 3 dimensional quality, imagery and limited palette were all successful elements. What surprised me the most from someone who often finds it difficult to engage with a meaningful concept was how much more imp[ortant the artwork became after discussions with Louise, the artist. It really is stunning and emotive. Thank you for sharing.

Louise's interpretation of dementia through art is intriguing, fascinating and also emotional. She weaves her Grandmother's memory loss into a complex yet easy to see and understand work of art. I love the different textures and methods of contemporary art used; all of which are clever and insightful. Her artwork, "Circle of Life" was hugely thought provoking and heartbreaking and I found myelf returning to the work to study it again and again.

Having watched the development in Louise’s work during the last few years I am in awe of her progress. She has worked so hard on her subject of dementia through her personal experiences to develop an installation she should be very proud of, and will be a very positive display for all to reflect upon .

Louise Innes's piece of art portraying dementia was pure art in it's simplest form. It was both creative and moving allowing viewers to be totally wrapped up by it. You could feel the love, emotions and understanding that had gone into the work. The piece is a beautiful way to capture family memories whilst cleverly portraying the feeling of loss. I have purchased several of her artworks.

Browsing through the gallery page of this website , I was struck at how clearly the different art forms depicted the confusion and the gradual loss of personal faculties, both for the individual with dementia and their families. The trapping of memories within the mind and how they are distorted has been perfetly portrayed in each of the images. Having had the opportunity to view Louise's art in person, and having personally experienced dementia within the family, each of her works perfectly present the different emotions one goes through in a visual and and tactile way. I am a proud owner of several of her artworks.

I visited the Contrast Exhibition in 2019 along with the New Highland Contemporary 6 Art Exhibition in Nairn on September 2019. I found the portrayal and work Louise produced for her pieces on dementia absolutely amazing. Louise's interpretation of how dementia affects families was so true to life. I find her work clever, complex and emotional. I look forward to seeing more of Louise's work in the future solo exhibitions she has planned later this year and early 2021.

Your dementia art work is brilliant. When I view your art it makes me reflect on my own memories and loss and really hits home how heartbreaking this silent illness is and how it can affect not only the sufferer but the whole family . Very emotive art.

I was unbelievably proud to see louise's (my Aunt) artworks depicting the effects of dementia at the New Highland Contemporary 6 Art Exhibition in Nairn in September 2019. Louise's work is always very thought provoking and powerful. I am VERY proud of her.
