Louise Innes is a well known local artist who is renowned for her ability to consistently create fresh and diverse artworks and gifts. Her collection includes a range of original artworks, as well as a new line of jewellery featuring original artwork. Additionally, she creates original art bookmarks, etched glasses, knitted brooches, bags and so much more. With such a wide variety of options available, you are sure to find something you love.

Fiona is a talented glass artist and the mastermind behind Kindness Glass, a local glass art studio. She has been on a journey of creating beautiful glass art pieces and always strives to come up with innovative and new ways to create art, which keeps her motivated and her customers satisfied. Recently, Fiona has started using wood in her creations and has collaborated with her husband, Robert, who is an experienced wood-turner. Together, they make a remarkable team and create some of the most outstanding works of glass art.

Fiona Matheson was one of the first artists we invited to collaborate with us at One of a Kind Gallery and Gift Shop.   She is a renowned, local artist known for her distinctive and vibrant textural artwork. Her background in knitwear design and her graduation from Winchester School of Art, where she won the 'Young Designer into Industry Award' established by the Royal Society of Arts, has influenced her style. Fiona works with oils and mixed media, creating wide-format landscapes that capture the raw essence of the northern regions. She constantly strives to keep her art relevant and appealing to her audience and has even created a popular jewellery line inspired by her original artwork.  

Jac, a very talented artist from local business, Port in My Storm, has been with us since the beginning. It has been an absolute pleasure to witness her artwork and products grow and evolve over the years. Every single product she creates is made with love and meaning, and never fails to resonate with our customers. Creating is a part of her very being, and she is constantly working on new pieces to keep herself fulfilled, as well as to keep her stock up to date and refreshed for all of us. We consider ourselves to be incredibly lucky to be the main stockist for Port in My Storm.

Chris, the man and his camera behind "Hart in the Highlands," is a passionate photographer who enjoys walking and wild swimming in the stunning Scottish Highlands where he captures breathtaking landscapes of the region. He is particularly well-known for his distinctive and unusual photos of Highland Cows in all their glory. If you're looking for unique and interesting artwork to start a conversation in your home, Chris's work is the perfect choice.

Jenny Hepburn is a talented local artist whose works are both diverse and breathtaking. We consider ourselves fortunate to possess two of her original artworks, which we proudly display in our home. We highly recommend that you visit her latest mini exhibition at our Gallery to view her current selection of original artworks and greeting cards. We are confident that you will be impressed by her creations, and they are currently available at an excellent price.

Tania MacKie, a talented local artist, is most content when she is traveling in her campervan with a sketch pad and some watercolors in her backpack, capturing the breathtaking scenery of our region. One of her original oil paintings sold within 30 minutes of being displayed in the gallery. We have a wide range of Tania's work available in various sizes and at reasonable prices, as well as some greeting cards. 

Heather Affrin is a highly regarded contemporary Scottish artist, known for her vibrant and atmospheric oil paintings and watercolour illustrations of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Her popular portfolio includes seascapes, townscapes, villages, Scottish mountain bothies, magnificent castles, and her favourite whimsical animals and flowers. Heather has been part of One of a Kind since its inception and remains one of our most sought-after artists.

Miriam is a popular, local artist who works with various media, but she is best known for her innovative use of watercolor. She loves watercolor for its fluidity, freshness, and unpredictability, which are reminiscent of Scotland itself. Miriam prefers to paint spontaneously and doesn't over-plan her work, allowing her to work with the medium instead of trying to control it. She keeps an element of experimentation within her work, making painting an adventure and a joy for both the artist and her customers.

Karen is a talented,  local jewellery designer who creates beautiful pieces of jewellery using sea glass collected from the Islands of Harris and Lewis. Her designs are a perfect blend of classic, timeless and contemporary styles that are suitable for all ages. They make a perfect gift or a special treat for yourself. Two years ago, my dad and two sisters were lucky enough to receive a bracelet each from Karen's collection, which I wear every day, and they look as new as the day they were gifted.

Sarah is the daughter of Karen from Salka Jewellery and the niece of Heather Affrin. She creates exquisite hand-pressed soaps and candles that are both affordable and desirable as gifts. It is a pity we cannot share the incredible scents through a smell-o-vision. We are happy to promote the works of this very talented local family.

Amelia from Mimi Makes is a talented creative who creates beautiful handmade gifts. Her creations include cute hand-knitted baby hats and bootie sets, adult hats, wax melts, reed diffusers, and greeting cards among others. Customers often inquire about the lovely scent in the gallery which is thanks to her famous reed diffusers.
